John F. Kennedy on May 25, 1961 presented our national dream in these words, "We choose to go to the Moon in this decade and do the other things, not because they are easy, but because they are hard."
Today we celebrate the 2,948 days it took the country to do the hard things and walk on the moon.
It takes doing the hard things to make our own HEART DREAMS come true. Maybe it's perfecting your craft, maybe it's sitting in front of a blank page on your computer and starting on chapter 1.
Some folks think just "dreaming" of something will make it happen and yet it's the hard work that makes a dream come true.
Watching that grainy tiny picture on the TV that June 20th in 1969, we jumped up and down. My mom had tears fall from her eyes. It had seemed so impossible, and yet a man on the moon became real. A national dream had come true.
What's the hard work you do every day for your dream?
What's the TLC you give to your dream every day?
We too have our dreams, not because they're easy but because they are hard. Reach for the stars....or maybe the moon!
We'll all cheer for you as well.
Hugs. Be Safe. You Matter.
