'Tis a gift to be simple

Alexa played one of my favorite songs today. It was the very first one I sang freshman year in the high school choir. Maybe you know it.

As we think about what our HEART DREAMS, it's good to remember what our gifts are.

When giving our HEART DREAMs focus we need to step back and remember what our "simple gifts" are. We might not be gifted in developing a vaccine right now. We might not be able to stop the political angst or cure the minds of hate towards another, but we still have gifts to share.

I think my gifts are somewhat old fashioned, the gift to be kind, the gift to smile, the gift to make everyone I meet feel special. These are gifts others have shared with me as well and I remember them.

I can only hope that these simple gifts can make a difference today....and then tomorrow...so I'll find myself in a place just right. One in which my HEART DREAMS.
