World Dream Day

It's World Dream Day! Wow! Just my kind of celebratory day.

Just what the world needs right now is a day to celebrate dreaming.

Harriet Tubman said, "Every great dream begins with a dreamer. Always remember, you have within you the strength, the patience, and the passion to reach for the stars to change the world."

Wouldn't it be nice if we all had a collective dream to change the world, one that celebrated every person on the planet, one that believed love to be a core value? A world where everyone's HEART DREAM could come true.

This week we mourn the loss of Justice Ruth Bader Ginsburg. Her passing allows a national mourning for a woman who not only had dreams of a better, fairer nation but strove to make them come true for so many. Her dreaming left a mark on all of us.

She showed us in her personal life a love story for the ages. She showed us that women can work for equal pay, be insured, have choice, have credit cards. She showed us people could marry who they love. She showed us that these dreams could be possible. She kept Tubman's points about patience and hard work ever at her core for her dreams of a better us.

Today too is my son's birthday. I didn't know until a friend told me yesterday about World Dream Day that my dream of having a child could become be real on such dream day, and 40 years ago it did. At 6:31am on September 25, 1980, my HEART DREAM was felt in a small 5lb 15oz little boy.

And I continue to HEART DREAM and I continue to value the Notorious RBG and a little son grown up to remind me that "Every great dream begins with a dreamer'.

Are you a dreamer this World Dream Day?

What are you dreaming?

Hugs. Be Safe. You Matter.
